1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using Lopaost, you agree to these Terms and the policies expressly incorporated into them. These Terms form an agreement between you and the operator of the Lopaost Service ("Lopaost"). Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or limit a right, remedy, warranty, or protection that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirement

Users under 18 may use eligible free social features subject to age-appropriate safety restrictions. Users under 18 are not permitted to purchase, hold, or use Lopaost Coins; send or receive paid gifts; participate in creator monetization; receive or withdraw creator or gift earnings; use the Lopaost Marketplace to buy, sell, or list products; receive Marketplace payments; or apply to purchase or run paid advertising campaigns through Lopaost. Users under 18 may view advertising where permitted by applicable law. These restrictions apply to money-related and commercial features even where a parent or guardian permits use of the account, unless applicable law requires a different arrangement.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your password secure, keeping account information accurate, maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials, and activity under your account. You must not sell, transfer, rent, or share an account unless Lopaost expressly permits it. You must not create an account for fraudulent or abusive purposes.

4. Community Standards

You agree not to harass, threaten, bully, promote hate or discrimination, share illegal or harmful content, share sexual content prohibited by law or these Terms, sexualize or exploit minors, upload malware, impersonate people or organizations, promote scams or fraud, infringe intellectual-property rights, send spam, or interfere with Lopaost's security or operation. Serious violations may result in immediate removal, restriction, suspension, or termination.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you lawfully create and share. By uploading or publishing content, you grant Lopaost a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, transmit, display, and distribute that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, improve, and provide the Service and the features you choose to use. This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to Lopaost. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to content you upload. Some content may remain temporarily in backups, security records, moderation records, or transaction records where permitted or required by applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

6. Artificial Intelligence Features

Lopaost may provide AI-assisted writing, searching, translation, summarization, recommendations, support, and other features. AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated material before publishing, relying on, or sharing it. AI features must not be used for unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or rights-infringing purposes. AI output is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or other specialist advice.

7. Privacy

Lopaost's collection, use, storage, protection, and other processing of personal information are described in the Lopaost Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms part of the Service's policy framework. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove data-protection rights that cannot legally be waived.

8. Intellectual Property

The Lopaost name, logo, branding, software, designs, graphics, and related materials are owned by Lopaost or licensed to Lopaost and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, modify, or exploit protected parts of the Service without authorization, except where applicable law expressly permits it.

9. Prohibited Activities

You must not gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems; use unauthorized bots or automated tools; collect personal information without permission or another lawful basis; circumvent security measures; manipulate engagement, coins, gifts, rankings, payouts, marketplace systems, or monetization; abuse reporting systems; exploit vulnerabilities; or create fraudulent or abusive accounts.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

Lopaost may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, Community Guidelines, applicable law, or platform-security requirements. Content may also be removed or restricted. Where an appeal process is available, eligible users may appeal. Account termination does not automatically erase obligations that arose before termination.

11. Service Availability

We work to keep Lopaost available and secure but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be added, changed, limited, or discontinued. Maintenance, security incidents, third-party failures, outages, and other events may temporarily affect the Service.

12. Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Lopaost does not guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in this section excludes a warranty or protection that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lopaost and its owners, employees, contractors, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service. This section does not exclude or limit liability where applicable law prohibits such exclusion or limitation.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when reasonably necessary. For significant changes, we may update the Last Updated date and may provide notice through the app, website, or another appropriate channel. Where applicable law requires a different notice or consent process, that process will apply. Continued use after an effective change constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable in Nigeria, subject to mandatory legal rights and protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. If another jurisdiction's mandatory law applies to you, nothing in these Terms is intended to remove those mandatory protections.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in force.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and other policies expressly incorporated into the Service, constitute the agreement governing your use of Lopaost, except where a separate written agreement or mandatory law provides otherwise.

18. Account Security

You're responsible for securing your devices and account credentials. Notify Lopaost through an official support or security channel if you suspect unauthorized access. Lopaost may temporarily lock accounts to protect users or investigate suspicious activity.

19. Username Policy

Usernames must not impersonate individuals, organizations, or brands, and must not be unlawful, misleading, abusive, or intentionally infringing. Lopaost may change or reclaim usernames where reasonably necessary, including for impersonation, abuse, trademark concerns, security, or extended inactivity.

20. Verification Badges

20A. LOPAOST PLUS AND PAID ADVANCED FEATURES
Lopaost Plus is an optional paid subscription that may provide eligible users with additional or more advanced features. Depending on the Plus plan and the features available at the time, these may include enhanced chat and privacy controls, controls over who may message the user, expanded upload capabilities, and additional profile, content, or view-related features. The exact features, limits, price, duration, and availability of a Plus plan will be shown before purchase or otherwise disclosed by Lopaost.
Lopaost Plus does not grant ownership of Lopaost, special immunity from the Terms, immunity from moderation, or a guarantee that any particular feature will remain available for the entire life of the Service. Plus users must continue to follow these Terms, the Community Guidelines, and applicable law.
Lopaost may suspend, restrict, or terminate Plus benefits when reasonably necessary because of a Terms or Community Guidelines violation, fraud, payment problems, abuse of Plus features, security concerns, legal requirements, or other legitimate platform-safety reasons. This may include removing access to advanced privacy, messaging, upload, profile, or view-related features. Such enforcement does not by itself create a refund right; refunds, cancellations, and any unused subscription period will be handled according to the applicable purchase terms, payment-provider rules, and mandatory consumer-protection law.
If Lopaost changes or discontinues a Plus feature, the change will apply as permitted by applicable law and the purchase terms presented for the subscription. Lopaost will not intentionally misrepresent the features included with a paid plan.
Lopaost Plus is restricted to users who are at least 18 years old, or meet any higher applicable legal requirement, unless a particular paid plan is expressly made available to a younger age group in compliance with applicable law. Users under 18 may not purchase or use Lopaost Plus unless Lopaost expressly states otherwise for a feature and applicable law permits it.
Verification is granted at Lopaost's discretion and does not imply endorsement. Verified status may be revoked, suspended, or removed if account information becomes inaccurate, the account violates these Terms or Community Guidelines, fraud or abuse is suspected, verification requirements are no longer met, or removal is reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal, or platform-integrity reasons. A user does not receive immunity from moderation because they are verified. Purchases of verification features remain subject to the applicable purchase terms, payment-provider rules, refund and cancellation rules, and mandatory consumer-protection law.

21. Copyright and Intellectual-property Complaints

Respect the intellectual-property rights of others. A rights holder may submit a sufficiently detailed complaint identifying the protected work, the allegedly infringing material, the complainant's contact information, and the basis for the complaint through Lopaost's designated legal or support channel. Lopaost may remove or restrict disputed content while investigating. Repeat infringement may lead to account termination. Nothing in this section creates rights or procedures beyond those required or permitted by applicable law.

22. Reporting Violations

You may report content, accounts, messages, or other activity that you believe violates these Terms or Community Guidelines. Reports should be made honestly and with sufficient information to allow review. False, malicious, or abusive reports may result in enforcement.

23. Appeals

Lopaost may provide an appeal process for eligible moderation, suspension, or other enforcement decisions, subject to applicable law and the procedures made available through the Service. Appeals do not guarantee a reversal. Lopaost may consider the available evidence, account history, safety concerns, and applicable policies.

24. Purchases and Payments

Purchases such as Coins, verification features, Lopaost Plus, promotions, or other paid features may currently be processed manually or through authorized payment providers. Where an app-store billing system is required for a particular in-app purchase, that purchase may be subject to the applicable app-store billing, cancellation, and refund rules. Where manual payment is offered, you must use the exact amount and reference requested by the Service. A payment claim does not by itself credit an account; Lopaost must verify the payment. False payment evidence, payment fraud, or attempts to bypass payment controls may result in termination and may be reported where required. Refunds, cancellations, taxes, payment-provider rules, and consumer remedies are subject to applicable law.

25. Advertisements

Lopaost may display advertisements or sponsored content and may identify such content where required. Users under 18 may view advertising where permitted by applicable law but may not purchase or run paid advertising campaigns through Lopaost. Users must not manipulate, fraudulently interact with, or interfere with advertising systems.

26. Digital Safety

You must not encourage self-harm or violence, exploit or endanger children, distribute terrorist or extremist material, or promote dangerous criminal activity. Lopaost may remove content, restrict accounts, or report matters to relevant authorities where required or permitted by law.

27. Marketplace

Lopaost Marketplace allows approved sellers to list permitted products, including physical products, books, and eBooks.
Marketplace access is restricted to users who are at least 18 years old, or meet any higher applicable legal requirement. Users under 18 may not buy, sell, list, or otherwise participate in Marketplace transactions.
Physical products: Lopaost provides the platform that allows buyers and sellers to discover products and communicate about transactions. Payment for physical products is made directly between the buyer and seller. Lopaost does not receive, hold, or control the purchase funds for these transactions, does not charge a commission on these transactions, and is not the seller of the listed product.
For physical-product transactions, the seller is responsible for the product, listing accuracy, lawful ownership or authorization to sell, pricing, fulfillment, delivery, returns, refunds, taxes, and compliance with applicable laws. Buyers should review the seller's terms and product information before completing a transaction. Because Lopaost does not hold or control these funds, disputes over payment, delivery, or refunds for physical products are between the buyer and seller; Lopaost may still remove a listing or restrict a seller for violations of these Terms.
eBooks: eBook purchases are processed through Lopaost's supported payment system. Lopaost receives the buyer's payment, holds the seller's share pending Lopaost's standard verification, and pays the eligible seller according to the applicable payout rules after deducting Lopaost's commission, currently 10% of the sale price. Lopaost may delay, reverse, or withhold an eBook payout where required for fraud prevention, payment reversals, disputes, policy violations, or applicable law.
Lopaost may remove fraudulent, misleading, counterfeit, infringing, illegal, or otherwise prohibited listings and may restrict or terminate seller access for violations of these Terms.
Lopaost is a platform provider for Marketplace transactions and, except where expressly stated for eBooks, is not a party to the contract between a buyer and seller. Nothing in this section removes any consumer, refund, or other mandatory legal rights that apply to a transaction.

28. Live Streaming

Users must follow the Community Guidelines during live broadcasts and must not use live features for unlawful, violent, abusive, or prohibited sexual content. Lopaost may interrupt, restrict, or remove live sessions to enforce policies, protect users, or comply with law.

29. Messaging

Private messages must not be used for harassment, scams, fraud, spam, threats, or other prohibited activity. Automated bulk messaging without authorization is prohibited. Lopaost may apply messaging limits or safety measures to protect users and the Service.

30. Data Backup

You're responsible for keeping copies of important content. Lopaost does not guarantee permanent storage of every uploaded item. Deletion, backups, security records, and retention are subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

31. Third-party Services

The Service may contain links or integrations with third-party websites, payment providers, hosting providers, media services, or other services. Lopaost is not responsible for third-party policies, content, availability, or practices except where applicable law provides otherwise.

32. Product Updates

Lopaost is under active development. Features, design, and functionality may change, be added, limited, or removed. Any paid feature or subscription will be described at the time of purchase, subject to applicable law and the applicable store/payment rules. Features, design, and functionality may change, be added, limited, or removed. The Service may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or updates. Feedback and bug reports may be used to improve Lopaost without an obligation to compensate the person providing the feedback, unless otherwise agreed. This is the Main version of Lopaost — a lighter, stable build.

33. Force Majeure

Lopaost is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet or infrastructure outages, cyberattacks, wars, labor disputes, government actions, or major third-party service failures, subject to applicable law.

34. International Use

You're responsible for complying with laws that apply to your use of Lopaost in your country. Lopaost may restrict features or access where necessary to comply with applicable law.

35. Reservation of Rights

Lopaost reserves rights not expressly granted under these Terms, subject to applicable law and the rights expressly granted to users.

36. Enforcement

Failure by Lopaost to enforce a provision immediately does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.

37. Electronic Communications

By using Lopaost, you agree to receive service-related notices, security alerts, policy updates, transaction notices, and other communications electronically through the app, website, or email, subject to applicable law.

38. Inactive Accounts

Lopaost may reclaim usernames or remove inactive accounts after an extended period of inactivity where reasonably necessary and subject to applicable law. Where required, notice may be provided before removal.

39. Contact Information Updates

You're responsible for keeping your account email and other contact information current so you can receive important security, account, transaction, and policy notices.

40. Lopaost Coins

Coins may be purchased, held, and used only by eligible users who are at least 18 years old, or meet any higher applicable legal requirement. Users under 18 may not purchase, hold, transfer, or use Coins.

41. Gifts

Gifts are digital items bought with Coins and sent through supported Lopaost features. Sending or receiving paid gifts is restricted to eligible users who are at least 18 years old, or meet any higher applicable legal requirement. Users under 18 may not send or receive paid gifts.

42. eBook Payments, Commission and Funds Holding

This section applies to eBook purchases only. Physical-product payments are made directly between buyer and seller as described in section 27 and are not covered by this section, are not held by Lopaost, and are not subject to a Lopaost commission. Buying eBooks on the Lopaost Marketplace is available to eligible users of any permitted account age. Receiving eBook proceeds as a seller is available only to users who are at least 18 years old, or meet any higher applicable legal requirement. Where Lopaost receives a buyer's eBook payment, the funds are held pending Lopaost's standard verification. Lopaost deducts a commission of 10% from completed eBook sales; the commission rate applicable to an order is the rate disclosed when that order is placed, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Lopaost may hold, delay, reverse, or refuse to release eBook funds where an order is disputed, fraud is suspected, a listing violates the Terms, a payment is reversed, or law or a payment provider requires action. Buyer and seller rights under applicable consumer and contract law are not removed by this section.

43. Creator Monetization and Eligibility

Receiving gifts or accumulating coins does not automatically create a right to cash withdrawal. Creator monetization is available only to users who are at least 18 years old, or meet any higher applicable legal requirement. Users under 18 may not apply for or participate in creator monetization. Converting eligible earnings into money requires approval for the applicable monetization programme. Requirements may include a published follower threshold, age requirements, identity or account review, compliance checks, and other disclosed conditions. Meeting a threshold means that an eligible user may apply; it does not guarantee approval. Approval is personal to the account and may be suspended or revoked for fraud, artificial engagement, purchased followers, policy violations, inaccurate information, or legal or payment requirements.

44. Age Requirement for Earning

You must be at least 18 years old, or meet any higher applicable legal requirement, to be approved for monetization, withdraw earnings, or receive payouts. Date-of-birth information may be collected and kept private as described in the Privacy Policy to enforce age-related requirements. Providing false age information may result in loss of monetization, withheld or reversed earnings where permitted by law, and account enforcement.

45. Withdrawals and Payouts

Withdrawals are subject to the limits and conditions shown in the app when a request is submitted. These may include withdrawal frequency limits, minimum amounts, verification, fraud review, payment-provider requirements, and processing periods. Lopaost may pause, extend, decline, or reverse a withdrawal where fraud is suspected, an account is under investigation, a dispute or chargeback is outstanding, or law or a payment provider requires it. If a withdrawal is declined and the amount remains legitimately owed, the eligible balance may be returned to the account. Any stated processing periods and minimums may be changed for future requests.

46. Taxes and your own Obligations

You are responsible for determining and meeting taxes, levies, registrations, licences, and other obligations that apply to money you earn through Lopaost. Lopaost does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Amounts displayed in the Service may be gross amounts unless stated otherwise.

47. Fraud, Chargebacks and Recovery

Lopaost may reverse credits, adjust balances, withhold payouts, suspend monetization, or terminate accounts where it identifies fraud, payment reversal, stolen payment instruments, collusion, manipulated gifting or sales, or attempts to bypass platform controls. Where funds have been improperly obtained and released, Lopaost may seek recovery to the extent permitted by law. Any negative balance or recovery claim will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

48. What Happens to Balances on Suspension or Closure

If you close your account, treatment of unused coins and other balances will follow the applicable feature rules, the Privacy Policy, and applicable consumer or payment law. Lopaost may withhold unreleased earnings during an investigation of fraud or a Terms violation to the extent permitted by law. Where Lopaost closes an account for reasons unrelated to the user's breach, eligible cleared and undisputed earnings may remain payable subject to verification, minimum thresholds, processing periods, and applicable law. No provision of this section is intended to waive a mandatory refund or consumer remedy.

49. Official and Staff Accounts

Some content may be published from official Lopaost accounts, including the Lopaost AI assistant account, and may be posted by authorized staff. Official-account content does not constitute financial, legal, medical, or professional advice unless expressly stated otherwise. Impersonating an official Lopaost account is prohibited.

50. Channels

A Channel is a content space with a role structure: it has an owner, and the owner may appoint admins and moderators. Only the owner, admins, and moderators may publish posts in a Channel. Any eligible user may subscribe to a Channel to follow its posts, and subscribers may react, comment, and reply where those features are enabled. Channel posts may appear in the Home feed and in discovery surfaces alongside other content and are subject to the same Community Standards, moderation, and enforcement as all other content on Lopaost.

Channel members may communicate with one another through a linked Channel conversation. As with group conversations generally, Lopaost may access Channel group conversations for moderation, safety, and legal-compliance purposes; one-to-one direct messages remain governed by section 29. Owners, admins, and moderators are responsible for content they publish and for reasonable moderation of the Channel, and Lopaost may remove content, remove roles, restrict, or delete a Channel that violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines.

Gifting within a Channel is a feature that becomes available only after a Channel reaches the applicable subscriber threshold set by Lopaost (currently 300 subscribers). This threshold, and any coin, gift, split, age, and eligibility rules, may be adjusted by Lopaost and are otherwise governed by the coins, gifts, monetization, age, withdrawal, tax, and fraud provisions of these Terms (sections 40 through 48), which apply to Channels in the same way they apply elsewhere on the Service. Meeting a threshold or being granted a role does not create a guarantee of earnings, a right to any particular feature, or immunity from moderation. Lopaost may change, limit, suspend, or remove Channel features when reasonably necessary for policy enforcement, safety, security, legal, or platform-integrity reasons.

Lopaost operates in Nigeria. Official legal, privacy, copyright, security, and support notices may be submitted through the designated Lopaost contact channels. Lopaost does not publish a personal operator name or residential address in these Terms.

These Terms are intended to describe the Service as actually offered. Lopaost will not treat these Terms as a promise that a feature, safety process, payment method, or verification procedure is used unless that feature or process is actually available.
