Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Lopaost uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on our app and website.
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files a website can store on your device. Local storage works similarly but is used by web apps (including Lopaost's installable app) to keep small amounts of data on your device between sessions. We use both, depending on the platform you're on.
2. What we use and why
| Category | Purpose | Can it be disabled? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps you signed in, remembers your session, and protects against fraud and abuse. | No — required for Lopaost to function. |
| Preferences | Remembers your theme (light/dark), language, and similar display settings. | Yes, though your experience may reset each visit. |
| Performance & analytics | Helps us understand how the app is used, via a third-party analytics service provider, so we can find and fix problems and improve features. | Where offered, via your device or browser settings. |
| Offline caching | Stores recently viewed content locally so the app loads faster and works better on slow connections. | Clearing app/browser data will reset this. |
3. Third-party cookies
Some cookies and similar technologies on Lopaost are set by third-party service providers that help us with authentication, hosting, analytics, and delivering content reliably. We don't control these third parties' own cookie policies directly, but we only work with providers under confidentiality and data-protection commitments consistent with our Privacy Policy.
4. Managing your preferences
You can control cookies and local storage through your browser or device settings — most browsers let you block, delete, or be notified about cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent Lopaost from working correctly, including staying signed in. On the installable app, clearing app data/cache will reset locally stored preferences and offline content.
